Gymnastics & Cheerleading Family & Friends,
Here we are, one week later, we miss you all so much, and with todays announcement and some changes to restrictions starting Monday, Feb 8th, we will be working throughout the weekend and on Monday to determine exactly what the means and how it plans out for the gym. In short, we will slowly be getting back to our spaces and just need to figure out the best plan based on regulations.
We are also working with Gymnastics and Cheerleading clubs across Alberta to collect and document facts & figures on exactly where we sit as far as cases, classes, athletes, etc in our facilities so we can give an accurate update in a nice graphic to help with the understanding of how safe our spaces are. As the GoA keeps saying, facts and data are what they need to see and we are committed as a province in Gymnastics and Cheerleading facilities, to make sure it is as safe as can be and that we are able to show it, with actual facts.
As for Province wide active case counts, they continue to drop and are now at 7,805 active cases Alberta wide and cases in Grande Prairie also continue to drop daily.
NOTE: Our ZOOM classes will take a break next week and will not run, we will review late in the week to determine when and if they will re-start based on re-opening plans for Feb 8th.
Your ongoing support, patience and understanding are very much appreciated and we will see you soon!
So EXCITED!
